What's a PTA and what does it do?
Werrington Primary School PTA is an charity organisation, made up of parents and teacher representatives, that aims to build links between the school, parents and the local community; providing an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a common goal.
As parents, you automatically become a part of the PTA community once your child joins our school.

Our prime aim is to work with the school, and fundraise towards an agreed project or activity. We have a committee that is elected annually, and meet regularly to plan events throughout the school year.

The fundraising events and schemes that our PTA organises provide the extras that are not within the school's main budget. Money raised goes towards items that make learning fun and interesting. Our aim is to provide additional resources that will benefit as many of the school's children as possible. Each year we supplement school trips, provide equipment for out of school clubs, educational resources as well as donating book/PE bags for all the school's new intake children.
The events our PTA organise are not just about raising money, it's about having fun too! The PTA organises competitions, activity trips and school discos, these give the opportunity for staff, parents and children to socialise and have fun together.
